Songwriting Couple Jahnavi Newsom and Addison Rice met in Vermont, then rode their bicycles together to Austin, Texas in late 2013, where they recruited band mates Aaron Watson and Pete Van Dyck.

They wrote most of the songs on this album during their 4 month bicycle trek (they hauled an arsenal of instruments and their dog Zoso along with them)

One year after arriving in Austin with nothing but their music, The Love Sprockets spent most of January 2015 in the studio.

Named for one of the few songs that came all the way from Vermont, Nobody Wants To Die decided the title and the theme of the album…

Death.

But not just the No-Longer-Breathing kind…

We’re talking everything from Relationship Turmoil (Nobody Wants To Die) to Personal Transformation (Dark Angel) to Working Your Life Away (Robot) to Good Ol’ Fashioned Ghost Stories (Ghost Train).

Blurring the line between Personal and Universal, the songs on Nobody Wants To Die hold a message for anyone who has ever Loved, Lost, Desired, Despaired, Worked, Drank, and Wondered What Lies Beyond…

All served up in one healthy portion of Mojo Folk that you’re sure to enjoy time and time again!
